So many craft shows, so little time! I have attended quite a few shows as of late...some good, some bad - but one thing that is constant at these shows is the camaraderie of many of the vendors. We all are there early, setting up our booths, chatting, buying (or trading - which I love) from each other, discusing what shows are coming up and which are the best to be in, complaining about "where are the customers?" when it's slow. It's a true feeling of community amongst us.
It is great to meet all the other talented crafters out there and get re-energized about your own business at the same time. There are so many fall & holiday craft shows that are in and around the Columbus, OH area. I think it's great that churches, schools and communities embrace small business owners and organize events such as these. It's a great outlet for people to display some of their creativity and make some money to boot.
My upcoming events that I am really looking forward to participating in are:
- Saturday, October 27, 2007 Slate Hill Elementary Star Bazaar - 7625 Alta View Blvd, Worthington, OH 43085
- Saturday, December 1, 2007 Huber Ridge Elementary - 5757 Buenos Aires Blvd., Westerville, Ohio 43081
I am still looking for some good November events so if anyone knows of any, I would love to hear about them. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you to all the people who attend these type of events and support your local communities!
