I have more scraps than I know what to do with. Here is one idea to use a few of them. Make some bird softies and hang them from a branch. My birch tree in the back shed a few nice branches in all the storms we have had. Why not put it to use, right? My kids were able to help me cut and stuff them too....family fun!

Scrappy Quilt
I admire the time, precision, planning and skill required for quilting...I really do. I just don't have it though. I attempted a quilt for Sammy and then when I realized that I only had enough squares for about 1/3 of a top...I got impatient and I improvised. I had tons of scrap chenille leftover so why not incorporate it and make a column quilt.
And he needed his name on it too...
I had a bit of a bird theme going on here.
If you want to see some really cool quilts...check out Mary at Molly Flanders. She is amazing! Mary, you might be seeing me soon in one of your quilting classes. I feel a long term project is in my future. Happy Sewing!
