I have been so busy with classes that I haven't had a chance to share my recent creations.  Here are a few:

New Kids Holiday Sewing Camp added!

Do your kids want to learn to sew?  Handmade gifts are so special to make and receive during the holidays.  In this class, we will make 4 items...a headband, a drawstring bag, a wallet and napkins.  This is a 2 day (2 hrs each day) class for $48 at Sew to Speak.  They can make as much as they can during this class using techniques like mitered corners, applying interface and inserting snaps. 

Saturday, Dec 15 from 9am-11am and Sunday, Dec 16 from noon to 2pm.  Register by stopping in or calling 614-267-3011. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pumpkin!

Tis the season....

Make a large yo-yo.  I used a large dinner plate as my circle template.  Sew a gathering stitch around the edges...fill with some fluff.  Get a twig and some twine, hot glue it on.  Viola!  Make your own pumpkin patch with various fabrics.  So easy and fun!!

Gypsy Sling

I know...I didn't use Amy Butler fabric.  I had some stash I wanted to use up and black and white is always a good choice.  Plus, the pop of pin dot red on the liner is fun too.  Diapers fit great in these large pockets.  Now if I could just Sammy potty trained, I would have to tote those around anymore!!

I found this great tutorial...but of course, I just made it my way after reading it.  I am not good at following specific directions sometimes.  But it turned out cute anyway.

Yo-Yo's

What a cute idea for using up those scraps of fabric.  I love making yo-yo's and I just taught some kids this technique this week in class.  We were coming up with ideas on what to do with them and we did not think of a pillow.  Very creative!  Visit Sew, Mama Sew for more info....

Bunting

I love bunting and I have it kinda all over my house.  It's easy to make too.  Get yourself some double fold bias tape and make some soon.  It makes things so festive!

summer

I am so excited to see that some of my kids classes are filling up for the summer!  While I have already taken my summer vacation (which was great!), I am now ready to get down to the business of some sewing.

Lotta!

I love the new fabric line from Lotta Jansdotter.  She is fantastic!  So I had some leftover scraps from a pillowcase dress sample I made and I wanted to use every last bit of it because I liked it THAT MUCH.  So I have these old windows from when we remodeled and I have done a few things with them....but then I thought MOD PODGE.  Good stuff...
